Water-Wastewater Operator I

We are seeking a Water-Wastewater Operator I to perform routine tasks related to the operation of water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, maintain plant compliance with EPA standards and state water Commission, and ensure plant safety and sanitary requirements.

Requirements

• Operates and maintains water and/or wastewater treatment equipment
• Monitors and samples well and groundwater
• Detects and reports atypical conditions
• Conducts ongoing repairs to equipment
• Activates pumps, valves and other processing equipment
• Adds chemicals to water by predetermined formula
• Reads and interprets meters and gauges
• Prepares reports and maintains logs
• Maintains a safe working environment
• Constant, independent travel daily between worksites
• Must work On-Call in rotation as scheduled
