MEL Specialists

Nickol Global Solutions is seeking short-term and long-term MEL Specialists to provide technical expertise to US Department of State, Department of Defense, and other donors. The role involves supporting MEL projects, data collection, report writing, and developing evaluation designs. Special focus is on closed or non-permissive implementation contexts.

Requirements

• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) experience
• Master’s degree in a social science (public policy, sociology, anthropology, political science, economics, international relations)
• Strong analytical, quantitative and qualitative research skills
• Demonstrated experience in supporting and leading MEL platforms and/or project-wide M&E activities for international development projects, particularly in complex operating environments.
• Experience designing Performance Management Plans and indicator development
• Prior overseas work experience a plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong proposal writing and coordination skills
• English fluency; proficiency in at least one language other than English preferred
