(Senior) Engineer Windfarm Control Development (m/w/d)

Design and implement software solutions for the Nordex Acciona wind farm controller, translate functional control requirements into robust code, and contribute to performance optimization of wind farm control systems. Minimal travel requirements, with occasional travel for testing or alignment.

Requirements

• University degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related fields
• Solid programming experience in C#, C++ and/or IEC 61131-3 based PLC programming
• Experience in embedded systems and real-time applications
• Strong understanding of PLC architectures and control algorithms
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC UA, DNP3, Bluecom)
• Experience with grid codes and renewable energy systems (wind, BESS, PV, hybrid plants)
• Ideally experience with IEC61400-25 namespace and model-based design (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink)
• Structured, reliable, and independent working style, combined with strong team and communication skills
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), knowledge of German or Spanish is a plus
