As an Indirect Tax Manager at Northbridge, you'll lead the full commodity tax function, oversee tax compliance, and provide trusted tax advisory across the organization. You'll collaborate with other leaders and teams to drive cross-training, tax projects, and support audits.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and taxation, with strong specialization in indirect tax
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a financial unit
- CPA designation (preferred), or a master's degree/equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of provincial and federal indirect tax legislation
- Experience with monthly/annual returns, SAM calculations, and audits
- Experience supporting or managing commodity tax audits
- Understanding of insurance accounting, including premiums, claims, statutory overdue, collections, reinsurance, and related controls
- Strong analytical abilities and mathematical aptitude (ratings, formulae, percentages)
- Advanced Excel and solid Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with tax/accounting/insurance systems
