AWS Kubernetes Engineer

We are seeking an AWS Kubernetes Engineer with demonstrated experience in designing, managing, and supporting Kubernetes environments within Amazon Web Services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including Compute, Containers, Databases, Networking, and Identity & Security. The engineer must also have experience with containerization tools like Docker, Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred), and Linux systems and networking fundamentals. The position will be based out of either NCG’s Portland, Maine, Marquette, Michigan, or Arlington, Virginia offices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes in production environments
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including Compute, Containers, Databases, Networking, and Identity & Security
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
• Experience with Linux systems and networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments
