Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse position at Family Medicine Associates in St. Joseph, MO, responsible for providing patient care, administering medications, and preparing exam rooms. Requires L.P.N. licensure in the state of Missouri, BLS certification, and two years acute care nursing or office nursing experience.
Requirements
- Work cooperatively with providers and personnel to carry out the goals and objectives of NHS
- Treat others respectfully and maintain patient confidentiality
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Assist patients with ambulation and provide patient education
- Prepare exam rooms and required instruments/equipment for procedures and treatments
- Triages patient calls and makes follow-up calls as required
- Administers injections and prepares patient record information
- Reviews charts for completeness and documents all refills, telephone conversations, and patient office visits
- Maintains tracking log for all lab, x-ray, and referrals
- Attends and actively participates in clinical staff meetings and educational programs
- Complies with all Regulatory agencies, directives, standards, and regulations
