Director, Development

As a Director of Development at NRG Energy, you'll be responsible for managing multiple utility-scale gas fired power generation development projects from inception to commercial operation. You'll oversee all aspects of project development, including land acquisition, concept design, fuel supply, electrical interconnection, environmental permitting, financing, and community engagement.

Requirements

• B.S. in Business or Engineering
• 8 years minimum relevant experience in engineering, construction, financing, and operations of electric generation facilities
• Knowledge of energy markets (ERCOT and PJM preferred) and energy-intensive C&I verticals
• Fundamental technical understanding of current-day gas turbine combined cycle technologies, electrical interconnections, fuel supply arrangements, regulatory requirements, and environmental, land use, tax, and other factors influencing project feasibility
