Manager Medical Staff Office

The Manager Medical Staff Office (MMSS) supports the organization by providing tactical leadership and operational oversight of Medical Staff Organization (MSO) activities within the Danbury Hospital. The Manager facilitates collaboration with the President of the MSO, Medical Executive Committee, and other medical staff leaders to ensure that organizational strategies are met, goals are achieved, and regulatory requirements are fulfilled. This role involves administrative tasks, environmental surveillance, practitioner management, and compliance with accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Administrative/Management Criteria A: Takes initiative in planning and formulating policies, procedures, programs, strategies, and plans for approval of the MEC.
• Environmental Surveillance Criteria A: Identifies, assesses, and informs the MEC of internal and external issues.
• Communication Criteria A: Develops and implements strategies for regular, effective communication with MSO members.
• Practitioner Database Criteria A: Oversees development of practitioner information systems.
• Meeting Coordination/Management Criteria A: Coordinates all aspects of the MEC committee activities.
