Assistant Structure Representative

Role Overview

NV5 is seeking an Assistant Structure Representative to support bridge construction projects in California. The role involves daily field inspections, report preparation, and coordination with contractors and regulatory agencies.

What You Will Do

Perform daily field inspections, prepare reports, review submittals, ensure compliance with contract documents and safety regulations, and communicate with contractors and regulatory agencies.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires a strong understanding of Caltrans construction methods and practices, as well as experience with heavy civil transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in field engineering tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with heavy civil transportation projects
• Caltrans construction methods and practices, minimum of 5 years' experience
• Knowledge of stress analysis, structural mechanics, and strength of materials
• Cal-OSHA practices and procedures
• Caltrans and Greenbook construction practices
• Physical characteristics and properties of various bridge construction materials
