Director of Software Engineering

We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the teams building and operating OAG's flight status intelligence capabilities. The role involves setting the engineering direction, aligning with product and commercial teams, and developing engineering managers and engineers.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering
• Extensive experience in architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and high-volume real-time data platforms
• Solid knowledge of cloud-based architectures, data engineering, and AI or ML technologies in a production context
• Understanding of Continuous Delivery, DevOps practices, and system reliability principles
• Proven ability to align engineering delivery with product strategy and drive organisational change
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the emotional intelligence to lead across complex, global organisations
