As a Research Associate, AI and Simulations Scientist for Medical Imaging & Therapy at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, you will develop and validate Virtual Clinical Trial (VCT) frameworks, integrate AI/ML techniques with Monte Carlo simulations, and optimize computational medicine codes for leadership-class HPC architectures. You will collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and publish findings in high-impact journals.

This role requires a Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related computational field. You should have strong programming skills in C++, Python, or similar languages, and experience with Monte Carlo radiation transport codes, DNA damage and repair modeling, and multicellular modes. You should also have a demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and obtain research funding.
