Senior Interconnection Engineer job opportunity at OCI Energy, an industry leading developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in power systems or Computer Engineering
- Two plus (2+) years of experience in transmission planning, interconnection studies, or power market analysis within the power industry
- Hands-on experience with PowerWorld, PSSE, PLEXOS, or other power flow and PCM software
- Ability to independently perform interconnection and transmission analyses with limited supervision
- Familiarity with interconnection processes, particularly within ERCOT and/or MISO markets
- Working knowledge of reliability, stability, congestion, curtailment, and LMP concepts
- Programming experience, particularly with Python
- Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines
