Fitter/Welder I - Weekend Day Shift

Role Overview

Join a team of industry professionals who value your skills and talents. The Fitter Welder I is responsible for fitting parts for OGI units. This is a full-time position with a weekend day shift schedule.

What You Will Do

Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind, and bolt components to position for welding. Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks. Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to pass applicable welding test GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Fluxcore).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 1 year of relevant experience and/or training
• 2-year technical degree or vocational certificate in welding preferred
• Read and interpret blueprints and have strong mathematic skills
• Ability to use and read level, tapes, protractors, and various tools
• Possession of strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
• Ability to pass applicable welding test GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Fluxcore)
