One Medical is seeking a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to provide exceptional care to patients and help them accomplish their care journey by providing venipuncture and other clinical support services. The role involves utilizing the highest quality standards to perform specimen collections and processing, providing a personalized and calming experience for patients, and navigating rapidly changing technology and workflows.
Requirements
- Graduated from a postsecondary Medical Assistant program (accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES))
- OR completed relevant Medical Assistant training by any branch of the armed forces
- OR possess a Medical Assistant certification issued by a certifying organization accredited by either the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, bilingual applicants encouraged to apply
- Bilingual Spanish / English verbal and written communication skills is preferred
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
- A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
- A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
