
Job description
This position is accountable for building and setting forms made of wood, metal, vinyl, and other materials in accordance with customer specifications (plans). The Form Setter drives wooden and metal stakes with a sledgehammer and hammers or screws nails and other fasteners to secure the forms. The incumbent must have the ability and flexibility to work varying shifts and long hours (8-12 hours).
Builds, erects, and aligns forms for various concrete structures and pier foundations utilizing preformed forming systems. Performs the setting of anchor bolts for drilled pier foundations. Estimates concrete quantities and appropriate mixes. Interprets blueprints and reads survey stakes and calculates areas and volumes.
A minimum of one year of experience in Concrete Structural Construction finishing concrete structures and pier foundations and setting steel preformed forming systems is required.
