Job Description
The Outdoor Education Instructor at Palomar Christian Conference Center is responsible for ensuring student safety, promoting spiritual growth through teaching, and leading camp activities. This role involves both classroom instruction and leadership of camper groups, as well as assisting with fire safety, wilderness care, and maintaining camper well-being. The position offers the opportunity to engage with young people while upholding the values of Palomar Christian Conference Center.
Requirements
- Personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and consistent daily living in accordance with God's Word.
- Understanding of Palomar Christian Conference Center's mission and agreement with its Statement of Faith.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills for positive relations with staff and guests.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to lead/introduce campers to Jesus Christ.
- Hiking and backpacking experience.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience teaching small and large groups.
