
Job description
The Lead Underwriting Consultant will oversee the selection of risk for large complex life applications, managing underwriting services to contribute to financial objectives. This role will involve developing underwriting processes, standards, and programs, and reporting results. The position is remote-based in the United States.
The Lead Underwriting Consultant will analyze qualitative and quantitative data, provide approval for risk selection and acceptance, and prepare reports. They will also evaluate life insurance applications, assist with resolving complex issues, and participate in business planning.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of underwriting experience, a college degree, and relevant designations such as FLMI, FALU, and ACS. They will be able to analyze complex data, make decisions within approval limits, and communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
