Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor – Anatomy & Physiology, Department of Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology at Penn State invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position to start Spring 2026. The successful candidate will lead the development of a human gross anatomy teaching program and teach anatomy courses. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the program, training laboratory teaching assistants, and leading curriculum design and assessment.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in anthropology, biology, anatomy, physiology, or another anatomy related field
• At least two years of teaching experience in relevant courses
• Demonstrated interest in pedagogy and research-based teaching methods
• Experience with anatomy teaching and dissection
