Lead Systems Engineer

Role Overview

We're seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities while helping shape the overall systems engineering approach for the Innovation and Integration (I&I) Lab.

What You Will Do

Lead systems engineering activities supporting TSN-enabled Digital Backbone integration, modernization, and evaluation efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and evaluation activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining MBSE architecture and SysML models using tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw
• 5+ years of applying systems engineering principles including requirements management, architecture development, system integration, verification, validation, and lifecycle traceability in MBSE environment
• Strong systems engineering background with demonstrated experience supporting aviation or mission-critical systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing technical concepts to leadership and stakeholders
• Familiarity and experience with the FVL Architecture Framework (FAF), Enterprise Architecture Framework (EAF), Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE), Integrated Modular Avionics (DO-297, ARINC 653/661)
• Ability to lead technical discussions and provide systems engineering direction across cross-functional teams
• Experience defining high-level system architectures and translating stakeholder needs into technical solutions
• Experience performing peer reviews and mentoring junior engineers
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work
