Database Administrator (Oracle)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Database Administrator (Oracle) to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Administer, secure, and optimize enterprise Oracle database platforms across development, test, staging, and production environments.

What You Will Do

Administer, secure, and optimize enterprise Oracle database platforms, lead Oracle schema design, PL/SQL development, data modeling, partitioning, performance tuning, and query optimization for mission-critical workloads.

Candidate must meet ONE of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering; OR Relevant DoD/military training; OR Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Oracle DBA/database administration experience with at least 3 years managing large-scale, enterprise Oracle environments
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, ASM, Exadata administration, PL/SQL, partitioning, and advanced performance tuning
• Proven experience applying DISA STIGs, supporting RMF/ATO evidence requirements, and coordinating patching/vulnerability remediation in DoD or regulated contexts
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Shell, Python, SQL), monitoring/observability tool proficiency, and backup/recovery strategy design
• Demonstrated ability to produce audit-quality documentation, runbooks, and migration/consolidation plans

Benefits

• Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000
• Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus
