
Job description
The Network Engineer will be responsible for the overall integration of the enterprise network, planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the network. This position provides guidance and direction for junior network support technicians and interfaces with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed.
The Network Engineer will test and analyze elements of network facilities, monitor and control the performance and status of network resources, and identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance. The Engineer must keep their technical skills updated and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet the Government’s needs.
The ideal candidate will have a DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level, a DoD IAT Level II certification, and extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, as well as server and network infrastructure.
