Senior Database Engineer

Role Overview

Peraton's Space & Intelligence Sector is seeking a highly motivated Senior Database Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role supports a critical intelligence analysis platform integrating multiple systems focused on weapon and emerging technology analysis and assessment.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain modern, scalable database architectures, support high-volume, multi-format data management services, design and implement efficient storage, indexing, and data access strategies, perform continuous database performance tuning and optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
• PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience
• An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, and database performance tuning
• Experience installing application software in operational environments
• Data modeling experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph
