Job Description
Pinecone is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Experience Platform team. The successful candidate will own the design and development of Pinecone's API, clients, authentication, revenue, and observability systems, with a focus on building high-leverage platform capabilities for AI-assisted development. The role requires a strong bias towards automation and leverage, experience with AI coding tools, and a proven ability to design and deliver versioned APIs, SDKs, or client libraries.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience
- Bias toward automation and leverage
- Hands-on experience shipping with AI coding tools
- Proven ability to design and deliver versioned APIs, SDKs, or client libraries
- Proficiency building web interfaces with React or similar
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong intuition for what makes APIs easy for both humans and agents to use correctly
