Design Engineer

Role Overview

A Design Engineer is required to join our client's R&D team, involved in product design and development across various sectors. The successful candidate will work on machine, component, and mould design projects from concept to reengineering.

What You Will Do

Project manage new product development, develop product designs, implement design for manufacture and assembly techniques, conduct technical reviews, and prepare product specifications.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 2-3 years' experience, and excellent communication and presentation skills. They should be commercially aware, able to collaborate with teams, and adapt to changing requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-3 years' experience
• Results driven and able to deliver
• Knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001:2015 and CE Marking EN1090
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
• Commercially aware
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various teams
• Ability to interpret technical drawings
• Competent working knowledge and experience of 3D CAD and PTC Creo
• Excellent technical report writing skills
• Ability to work productively under tight deadlines
