Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager - Construction

Role Overview

The Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager - Construction will oversee and manage construction projects serving as the owner’s representative for a distribution company, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.

What You Will Do

Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors, develop and manage project budgets, create and manage project schedules, assemble and manage teams of consultants and contractors, and identify and address potential liabilities and risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
• 5-8 years of industry experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager
• 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager
• Firm knowledge of construction, architecture, or commercial real estate industry
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, lease agreements, and building codes
• Proficiency in MS Office software, especially MS Excel
• Experience with construction management software is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills for interactions with internal and external clients
• Superior organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities while prioritizing safety and security
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 15% as needed
