Senior Backend Engineer

Postscript is a remote organization that develops a platform for ecommerce brands to run a world-class SMS marketing program. The company is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to the App Systems team and work on the Fondue product. As a high-ownership contributor, you will be responsible for evolving and distributed systems, implementing AI-first development practices, and driving technical standards. This is a fully remote position that can be based in the US or Canada.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience building large-scale backend systems and APIs with Typescript experience
• Experience with autoscaling strategies for applications deployed on Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, SQL, and thoughtful database modeling
• Experience with building and observing applications on AWS, and ideally Datadog
• Strong instincts for technical trade-offs informed by both engineering best practices and business priorities
