Senior Solution Architect

Role Overview

A Senior Solution Architect in Professional Services, Platform organization plays a pivotal role in driving the success of PowerPlan’s strategic and transformational programs within the energy industry. The position is responsible for project delivery, resource development, business development, and leading strategic projects and innovation initiatives.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include project delivery, resource development, business development, and leading strategic projects and innovation initiatives. This includes serving as the Solution Architect on large and complex strategic or transformational programs for clients in the energy and utilities industries.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience implementing Senior Solution software applications in a client-facing consulting role, preferably in a software consulting or IT type organization. They will also have experience in utilities and energy industries and/or utility and fixed asset accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 10+ years’ experience implementing Senior Solution software applications in a client-facing consulting role
• 10+ years’ experience in utilities and energy industries and/or utility and fixed asset accounting
• Experience in all phases of the implementation process
• Experience in other phases of the customer lifecycle (Sales, R&D, Product, Customer Operations, Customer Success) preferred
• Ability to establish oneself as a trusted advisor to client, project team and PowerPlan, Inc. colleagues
• History of increasing responsibility or upward progression
• Experience leading project teams or direct reports
• Able to track multiple independent work items simultaneously
• High level of collaboration skills, especially with co-workers or subject matter experts not in the same location
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent, effective communication skills, including: verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
• Ability to engage and successfully interact with the client and project team at all levels
• Creating and delivering presentations for industry conferences
• Ability to document technical and functional requirements by partnering with business stakeholders and project team members
• Ability to separate the technology ask from the business need
• Consulting and client/project team relationship-building skills
• Experience utilizing a robust implementation methodology
• Willingness to master new processes and standards rapidly and evolve current approaches to accommodate requirements without delay or loss of quality
