Assistant Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Role Overview

Assistant Machine Operators directly support all machine operations, including setup, cleanup, and recommending improvements to meet customer demand. They work on the 2nd shift and are responsible for assisting the Machine Operator with maximizing equipment utilization, improving set up times and down times, and identifying and addressing mechanical concerns.

What You Will Do

Assist the Machine Operator with daily tasks, including working safely, following Good Manufacturing Processes, and learning and complying with Pratt Industries quality procedures. Assist with completing necessary reports, cross-train on other machines, and turn in maintenance work order requests.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, previous experience in the packaging industry is a plus. The ideal candidate is able to work safely, follow instructions, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. They must also be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work in a loud environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the packaging industry a plus
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
