Machine Helper - 1st Shift

Role Overview

Pratt Industries is seeking a Machine Helper to assist operators on all presses, including setup, operation, and cleanup. The role involves monitoring board quality, reporting issues, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the corrugated industry and be willing to cross-train on other machines.

What You Will Do

Set up slotting, feed, and die cut sections on machines, assist operators, monitor board quality, and report issues. Cross-train on other machines and be proactive in maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry
• 6 months' experience as a Flexo or DieCut Helper
• 6 months' experience in the Press and Finishing Departments
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts
• Ability to apply common sense understanding
• Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities
• Product layouts and production specifications
• Product quality specifications
• Quality standards
