Role Overview

As a Machine Operator at Pratt Industries, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production machinery. This position involves a variety of tasks, including machine setup, operation, cleanup, and troubleshooting, with a focus on meeting customer demand and maintaining high-quality standards.

You'll work in a fast-paced environment, constantly striving for improvements in equipment efficiency while ensuring safety and cleanliness in your work area. Key duties include safety & compliance, quality assurance, operational efficiency, training & development, reporting & maintenance, and flexibility & teamwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior experience in manufacturing, especially in the packaging, paper, or plastics industries
• Ability to read and follow instructions related to safety, quality, and job procedures
• Strong mathematical skills for calculations such as percentages, volume, and measurements
• Mechanical understanding to identify equipment issues and improve machine performance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform various tasks such as stooping, kneeling, and reaching
• Lift Truck Operator License may be required
