
Job description
The Quality Engineer is responsible for real-time problem solving, process improvements, as well as customer and internal quality management system requirements. This position works directly on the production floor alongside production machinists, inspectors, programmers, supervisors, and leadership to identify root causes, reduce defects, improve process capability, and ensure compliance to customer, AS9100, and internal quality requirements.
Provide immediate hands-on support for production quality issues on the manufacturing floor, troubleshoot nonconformances, and support first-piece approvals, in-process inspections, and final acceptance activities.
The ideal candidate is proactive, technically strong, and comfortable making timely decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment involving tight-tolerance machined castings and complex customer requirements.
