Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant responsibilities include assisting providers, escorting patients, obtaining vital signs, performing spirometry tests, and maintaining exam rooms. Medical Assistants also answer patient sick calls, schedule appointments, and communicate with patients through secure portals.

Requirements

• High school graduation or GED
• Two or more years of related work experience
• Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA, CCMA, CMA) a plus
• Current certification in CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong computer skills with EMR experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to file and maintain patient records
• Ability to work independently and juggle multiple priorities
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Valid California driver’s license and automobile insurance
