Backend Engineer

Requirements

• Backend development: Strong experience in Java and Spring, designing and implementing high-performance APIs (OpenAPI/REST).
• Distributed systems & infrastructure: Experience with Kafka, MySQL, MongoDB, Tomcat, Nginx; building scalable, reliable event-driven systems.
• Mobile & multichannel expertise: Deep understanding of mobile platforms, push notifications, SDK integration, SMS/email deliverability, and in-app messaging workflows.
• Collaboration & product mindset: Able to work directly with PMs and UX designers, balancing technical quality with business impact.
• AI-assisted coding: Comfortable using Claude or similar AI tools to accelerate development, automate testing, generate documentation, and refactor code efficiently.
• CI/CD & tools: Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, npm, and modern DevOps pipelines.
• Ownership & initiative: Proactive problem solver who contributes to system improvements, performance, and code quality.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Basic information security competences and following secure practices and policies within an ISO 27001-certified environment.
