Role Overview

Lead a large crew during a post-delivery on a DDG 1000 class ship, providing mentorship and training to junior personnel. Ensure all electrical production meets expectations and complies with safety policies and procedures.

What You Will Do

Oversee daily production plans, assist with shipboard installations and troubleshooting, perform operational testing, and ensure personnel adhere to QMS and Safety programs.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must have 9-14 years of experience as a Marine Electrician, with experience in ship repair onboard US Navy ships, and a DoD Secret security clearance.

Requirements

• Marine Electrician with 9-14 years of experience
• Multi-pin copper connector certification
• Cableway Certification
• Active Fiber certification (plus)
• US citizenship
• DoD Secret security clearance
• Fluency in English
• Navy 'A' School or Shipyard/commercial Electrical apprenticeship program
• Shipyard competent person certification (plus)
• Proven experience as an electrician
• Experience in marine electrical systems
• Prior experience supervising other personnel
• Ability to use electrical and hand tools
• Ability to build MIL-SPEC connectors
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Excellent physical condition
• Willingness to travel
• Flexibility with regards to scheduling
