General Maintenance Worker

Role Overview

The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings, requiring practical skill and knowledge in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.

What You Will Do

Replace electrical receptacle covers, switches, patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repair or replace sinks, water coolers, toilets, paint structures and equipment, and perform general maintenance on equipment or machinery.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must have a valid Driver's license, ability to obtain a Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) Clearance, and possess working knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in actual performance of documented preventative maintenance
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in building maintenance, housing maintenance, and knowledge of building plans and schematics
• Valid Driver's license
• Ability to obtain a Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) Clearance
