Job Description
The Mine Geologist is responsible for overseeing activities related to the modeling and analysis of geological data and processes, ensuring that service and operational standards are consistently met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certification or licensure in geology or mine surveying is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mine geology, geological modeling, and grade control.
- Proven experience in geological data analysis, modeling software, and reporting in a mining environment.
- Strong expertise in geological modeling and interpretation software (e.g., Surpac, Datamine, Micromine).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
- Understanding of geostatistical methods and orebody modeling.
- Willingness to work in Brokopondo and Paramaribo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break
- A copy ID & a valid proof of good conduct “Bewijs goedgedrag”.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in English.
