Assistant CNC Operator - Day Shift (Co-op)

Assistant CNC Operator - Day Shift (Co-op) at S&C Electric Canada, responsible for setting up and performing basic maintenance of the CNC machine, following work orders to produce parts for our units according to S&C Safety Procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree/diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technician or related field in CNC Programming.
• Enrolled and eligible for a 4 month Co-op work term starting in the Fall of 2026.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment considered an asset.
• Previous experience as a CNC Machine Operator considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use caliper, micrometer, go no-go gauges, etc.
• Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles considered an asset.
