Security Guard

Role Overview

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and program participants. This position ensures the protection of the organization’s facilities, equipment, and people by monitoring site activity and responding to incidents.

What You Will Do

Monitor the entrance, verify identification of visitors, conduct regular patrols, inspect premises, respond to alarms and emergencies, use de-escalation techniques, and document incidents.

Requirements

• Current security guard card/certification
• CPR certification
• Basic computer skills and ability to use a smartphone
• Ability to perform necessary physical duties
• Proficiency in de-escalation techniques
• Experience working with youth and individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
