Senior QA Automation Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior QA Automation Engineer will lead the full set of test automation activities, including creating, maintaining, and executing automated tests. The role requires excellent skills in test planning, designing, and test strategy/case/script creation and execution. The engineer will work with the IT application team to achieve quality products by identifying defects and deficiencies early and providing feedback for continuously improving the development and testing processes.

What You Will Do

Develop, extend, and improve the existing Test Automation tools and test frameworks. Provide input to the project plan/release plan, defect/change management processes, systems integration, testing tools and processes. Identify areas of weakness to existing procedures and implement new procedures.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have experience with integration & regression testing and coordination with supporting systems. Nice to have skills include JMS integration in Java project, test development with Spring, integration of test management tool with Java framework, load/performance/stress testing experience, and TeamCity/Jenkins experience.

Requirements

• Java (OOP principles, Design patterns)
• Spring and SpringBoot
• Cucumber (Data Table, Annotations)
• Automation framework tools: Selenium, Rest Assured or similar
• Rest calls interaction
• HTTP protocol understanding
• Excellent skills in Test planning, designing, and test strategy/case/script creation and execution
• Experience with integration & regression testing and coordination with supporting systems
