Senior Platform Engineer - SAP Business Technology Platform Big Data Team

We help the world run better at SAP. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, implement, and operate Big Data services that power SAP’s enterprise-scale cloud solutions.

Requirements

• Background in Computer Science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 5-8 years of professional experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, or platform engineering
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes internals, container runtimes, and Linux systems engineering
• Proficiency in Go or Python
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure providers such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, or GCP; OpenStack is a plus
• Understanding of system design, networking, scalability, and performance optimization
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a collaborative, proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Ability to work on complex engineering problems with autonomy and accountability
• Clear communication skills in English, both written and verbal
