Mechanical Engineer 2 - Nuclear

Role Overview

You will be involved in nuclear power plant systems design, including preparation or review of modification packages, functional mechanical drawings, engineering analyses, technical specifications, and vendor bid evaluations. This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

What You Will Do

Develop engineering cost estimates, visit client office and/or plant site locations, lead engineering project teams, and make presentations related to engineering tasks and status.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited undergraduate program or a US based ABET-accredited program
• Academic coursework in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
• A minimum of 1 year of engineering experience or a MS degree
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
