Software Engineer / Firmware Engineer (Operations & Hardware team)

As a Software Engineer / Firmware Engineer, you will integrate, customize, build, and test open-source firmware solutions embedded in the hardware equipment managed by Scaleway to ensure sovereignty, security, and high performance of our data center infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Embedded Systems or Firmware development
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and the Yocto Project
• Hands-on experience with OpenBMC, UEFI (Coreboot), and hardware architectures (x86, ARM, or RISC-V)
• Solid understanding of hardware management protocols (Redfish, IPMI) and low-level communication
• Experience with modern software quality practices, including Git, code reviews, and CI/CD
