Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Researcher in Frugal/Green AI to lead high-impact innovation projects within a forward-thinking research institute driving responsible digital transformation.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field
- At least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience or R&D experience in the field of frugal or green AI
- Strong grasp of deep learning architectures (CNN, RNN, Transformers, LLMs)
- Experience in fine-tuning, multimodality, MLOps, and model management
- Ability to optimize AI models under energy and memory constraints
- Experience applying AI across diverse domains (health, mobility, cybersecurity, energy, etc.)
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French, German or Luxembourguish a plus
- Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset
- Leadership and team collaboration skills
- Capacity to build strong cross-sector partnerships and convey a clear research vision
- Excellent scientific communication - both written and oral
