Product Technologist

Role Overview

As a Product Technologist, you'll play a key role in bringing accessories and slipper products to life, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, fit, performance, and safety. You'll work closely with the Senior Product Technologist and Director of Technical to deliver commercially successful ranges that align with Seasalt's brand standards and business objectives.

What You Will Do

You'll manage products from initial design handover through development to production, creating and maintaining accurate product specifications and tech packs. You'll lead fit sessions, collaborate with Design and Buying, and assess product risk throughout development.

Requirements

• Experience working as a Product Technologist across multiple product categories
• In-depth knowledge of fabrics, yarns, leather, and manufacturing techniques
• Solid understanding of product construction, fit, grading, and technical development
• Experience creating product specifications and working with factory production processes
• Ability to interpret test reports and manage product approvals
• Proven experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Experience working with and communicating with overseas suppliers
• Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A willingness to learn and develop
• Previous experience within retail or wholesale fashion would be desirable
• A degree in Fashion or a relevant subject would be desirable
