Equipment Operator

Role Overview

Select's Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment and performing preventive and routine maintenance. The role requires minimal supervision and involves communicating with the Operational Manager about daily assignments.

What You Will Do

Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, road grader, and excavators. Perform tasks as directed by Operational Manager. Conduct basic maintenance on equipment and conduct periodic inspections.

Requirements

• Must be over 21 years of age
• Must possess valid driver's license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select's insurance guidelines
• Must be certified to operate heavy equipment
• Exhibit ability to be a strong team player
• Possess excellent written and verbal skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
• Ability to work independently and carry out work assignments to highest quality level
• Ability to trouble-shoot electrical, mechanical, diesel engine problems, as well as hydraulic, pump, and vacuum equipment
