Job description
Sentar is seeking an Accounting Manager to supervise a team of accounting professionals and oversee financial reporting, timesheet processing, billing, general ledger, cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. The role requires experience in government contract accounting, DCAA compliance, and indirect rate environments.
The Accounting Manager will provide oversight and review of work across all accounting functions, ensure cross-training, workload balance, and continued improvement. They will also oversee monthly close processes, review and monitor general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, revenue recognition, and variance analysis.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in the Government Contracting industry, including experience supporting DCAA compliance and indirect rate environments. They will also have 3+ years of accounting team leadership experience and advanced experience in Excel and data extraction and validation processes.
