Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview

Sentinel is seeking a senior-level infrastructure leader to design, stabilize, and modernize a highly available hybrid environment for one of our strategic partners. This role blends deep hands-on expertise in Cisco networking and VMware virtualization with strategic influence across cloud, security, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of progressive experience designing, operating, and supporting enterprise network and infrastructure environments
• Advanced hands-on expertise with Cisco routing and switching, including complex troubleshooting in production environments
• Extensive experience administering VMware vSphere at scale, including host, cluster, and VM lifecycle management
• Deep knowledge of virtual networking, segmentation, and hybrid infrastructure architectures
• Proven success supporting always-on (24x7) operational, warehouse, or logistics environments where uptime is critical
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical design efforts, resolve high-impact issues, and clearly communicate with both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Industry certifications preferred - Cisco, VMWare, Security+, Etc.
• Organizational leadership qualities with a desire for growth
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, stand, walk and sit
• A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
