Network Technician

Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (“Shentel”) is seeking a Network Technician to install, provision and maintain the electronics central to the company’s telephone and broadband network. The Network Technician will be responsible for splicing fiber optic cables, installing and maintaining subscriber carrier systems, and performing other tasks related to the network’s operation.

Requirements

• Ability to splice fiber optic cables
• Knowledge of broadband network equipment and systems
• Ability to perform record keeping tasks associated with daily activities
• Ability to maintain telephone and broadband equipment during power outages
