Manager Sustainability & Permitting

Role Overview

As a part of the sustainability team, you will support the Director Sustainability and collaborate closely with other Sustainability Specialists in managing environmental permitting, coordinating recultivation, and ensuring compliance with German environmental legislation.

What You Will Do

Support and manage environmental permitting and authorisation processes, coordinate environmental impact assessments, ensure environmental and sustainability compliance, train and support Operations on permit conditions, and manage and reduce environmental impacts.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental management, geography, mining, administrative law or comparable field
• Experience in sustainability, environmental protection or permitting
• Proficient in German and English (written and spoken)
• Structured, organised and analytical way of working
• High level of commitment, flexibility, teamwork and willingness to travel
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
