Role Overview

Join the Maintenance Operations team at NASA's Langley Research Center to support the Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering Contract (CMOE). As an Electrical Engineer, you will work with a high level of quality, professionalism, and full adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Your focus will be on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting maintenance teams with strong technical guidance.

What You Will Do

Support maintenance and operations teams with troubleshooting and resolution of electrical, power distribution, control, and instrumentation system issues. Analyze equipment failures, lead root cause analyses, and develop corrective and preventive actions. Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for electrical assets.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or in appropriate discipline
• 2-5 years related engineering experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify failure cause for Mechanical Systems
• Failure analysis including preservation of evidence techniques
• Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
• Engineering design standards and their application
